aim: to avoid jinx myself whenever I’m discussing with someone
context: I’m really good at making myself look dumb unintentionally when discussing with strangers, and I need to fix this.
what makes good discussion
- relevance
what to keep in mind
- balancing between output (babbling and asking) and listening
- discussing with people != writing an article (yapping 500 words from a simple question, it’s not working like that!)
- if you output too much it’s very prone to be irrelevant and out of touch
- not everyone are your closed friends that you can read them like a book and can guess what they want to discuss.
- listen and asking too much.
- 10/10 in some cases
- 6/10 in most cases
- 4/10: feels like I only take and not give
